I read that 6 of 10 Americans don’t have $500 dollars savings for an emergency. Some of these people will put an emergency expense in their credit card, other people would cut expenses and yet others would ask close family for the needed money.
While there are some people whose savings are close to impossible...
there are also people who make good money and still don’t save money. They spend their money hoping they would never run into a monetary emergency or thinking they will always make the same money they are making now. You call that naiveness. This is one of the reasons why many people are in debt and don’t seem to progress in gaining their financial freedom.
According to research, 1 out of 3 Americans are overweight. Some of these people don’t really care about their weight, others start a weight loss program and quit soon and yet others lose weight but they end up gaining back.
It is true that for some people it is more difficult to lose weight...
Because of their conditions. However, everyone can still lose weight. While some people need to make drastic changes in their lives, others only need to start being active. But these people still made the wrong small choice about their health hoping for a pill or treatment to save them from a future illness. You also call this naiveness.
When I talk to many of our members I use money as an analogy of being overweight. Many people do relate with money and understand the money concept. They do understand that if they over spend money they need to work harder to only meet their needs. The same concept is applicable to being overweight. If you eat the wrong foods and eat more food than you are supposed to without being active, you are going to need to make more sacrifices to lose the weight you want to lose. It all depends on the habits you are practicing...
Lose 50 lbs in less than a year...
If you manage to save $50 dollars each paycheck by stopping buying Starbucks, going out, buying alcoholic drinks, or anything of those useless things, then you can manage to save $500 in less than a year.
You can apply the same concept with your weight loss. If you manage to stop eating all the unnecessary products every day such as junk foods, sodas, alcoholic drinks, fast food, cut your pastries and start exercising 3 times a week, you can manage to lose 5 pounds a month. This is how you lose 50 lbs in less than a year.
If you understand how money works, you can clearly understand weight loss...
Remember that what matters is the habits that you are practicing, improve your habits and your life will improve, just decide what habits you want to improve. Of course, you will only make changes if the quality of your life matters to you.
